cullan's first art show...

i guess he might just follow in his daddy's footsteps.
tonight at cullan's preschool, they had an art show. it was supposed to be decorated like a gallery. the hall's were lined with all of the kid's art work. it was fun but super busy. i tried to snap some shots of cullan's work. some came out kind of blurry due to getting bumped in the overcrowded hallways. so here is what i got to see..a mask that cullan painted and added decoration to.
they also had a silent auction. this was one of the things they auctioned. it is everyone in the preschool. cullans hand print is the second row third in. it's blue.here is a sheep. a very cute sheep.this one made me giggle. it just seems to tell so much about cullans personality. he is so matter of fact sometimes. just so straight to the point. the kids read the book "it looked like spilt milk". all of the other kids pictures said, "it looks like a butterfly", "it looks like a monster". i could just see in my mind, cullans teachers, after reading the book asking, what does it look like and cullan looking up at her in a very matter of fact way and saying "it looks like spilled milk." as you can see it is written in the corner. oh my cullan boy.i am not sure exactly what this is but i took a picture anyway.here is cullans family portrait. i think he did a great job.last but not least. they did fall trees. i loved these. i think i am going to have to steal the idea. cullans is right up front, just right of center sitting kind of sideways.
he was so excited to show me his art. i can not believe that he is becoming such a big kid. i guess i better enjoy ever minute.

last night.

last night it was about 10:30. i was watching tv and talking to garran. i heard some noise in the boys room but did not think much of it. a few minutes later i look down the hallway to see this. someone had got out of bed, but knew that they were not suppose to. he had been asleep since about 7:30pm. i guess he decided the hallway was better than having to go back to bed. i had to laugh. what a funny boy.

brothers.

they sure love each other. they are also naughty together. see those binkies. they are stolen from one little sister. but they are so cute together!!

correction.

on the post below i said we had to order 15000 bfa show announcements. I added an extra zero by mistake. it is really 1500. sorry about that. i got some crazy phone calls asking why in the world we would need 15000. my mistake!

today.

today has been a very productive day.
today i cleaned the living room twice...i'm sure you mom's understand this part.
i called and started the printing of Garran's BFA show announcements...all 15000 of them.
later this afternoon i went and picked up said announcements.
then there was a knock on my door. i opened it, only to be surprised by a ups man and a beautiful brown box.
inside this beautiful brown box..beautiful graduation announcements!
the end is near and getting all this graduation stuff together is making me very happy. today was a great day.

this weekend.

this weekend we had to travel a little ways for church. it was our stake conference. the kids did really well with traveling and the longer meetings. this was them goofing off in the back of the van before we left to head home.living where we live has it's pros and cons. one of the cons is that as you are driving in certain places...mainly anywhere there is a field it wreaks. yesterday on our way home, we were passing through an especially stinky area. as i looked over...this is what i saw. he is so funny.here is my little breia girl. yes that is a little sprig on top of her head and yes it has a little bow. garran is not a big fan, but he humors me. such a good husband. (he affectionately calls it her antenna.)after, we made a little stop and played at grandma and grandpa gillespies on the way home. the kids had fun playing outside. it was GORGEOUS!! they played so hard that this was cullan when we got home.i love his sleeping pose. it just cracked me up.

who's smart?

that is right...he is!
conferences went great. nothing but praise. he is such a good kid. i'm so happy he likes school and gets so excited about learning. that was their one not so positive thing....and it's not really that bad. they said when he is taught something new, he gets really excited sometimes and they have to help him refocus. however, she said that was pretty common at this stage.
our fist parent teacher conferences went great!!

growing up.

even though i will be 29 in a few weeks, i still have small moments where i have a reality check and think....yep i am all grown up. tomorrow will be one of those moments. tomorrow i have my first parent teacher conference with cullan's preschool teacher. i am kind of nervous. isn't that silly? not because i think they will say anything bad about cullan, just because it is something new. i'm am WEIRD... and some days i think i learn something new everyday about being a "grown up". :0)

well for starters, i have to admit that i am married to my best friend. i have never met anyone who has made me laugh more than Garran. we have a great time together. adding to our fun are our two sons, Cullan and Kael. they are a handful of wildness, but we would not trade them for anything. we are excited to to have added a new little girl to our family in march. her name is briea and she is super sweet. we are enjoying having a little girl in our family! life is pretty hectic with finishing up school and just running and playing all day but we try to follow the quote " Most folks are about as happy as they make their minds up to be!"

This explains why I blog so much RIGHT?

“Your journal is your autobiography, so it should be kept carefully. You are unique, and there may be incidents in your experience that are more noble and praiseworthy in their way than those recorded in any other life. …
“What could you do better for your children and your children’s children than to record the story of your life, your triumphs over adversity, your recovery after a fall, your progress when all seemed black, your rejoicing when you had finally achieved?”
Elder Spencer W Kimball!

I need to read this every morning!

"It isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out. Don't worry. I say that to myself every morning. It all works out in the end. Put your trust in God, and move forward with faith and confidence in the future. The Lord will not forsake us. He will not forsake us. If we will put our trust in Him, if we will pray to Him, if we will live worthy of His blessings, He will hear our prayers."

-President Gordon B. Hinckley
